(KNSI) – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation announces that four people will be receiving recognition at this September’s Celebration of Philanthropy Social in September.
The event is scheduled for the 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Park Event Center in Waite Park. Kevin Spellacy is a lawyer specializing in estates and trusts. He will receive the Professional Award in Philanthropy.
Hodan Omar has been selected for the inaugural Social Trust Award, which is aimed at unsung heroes who quietly tie community organizations together. She is an equity outreach coordinator with District 742.
The final two being recognized are winners of the ATHENA Award, a lifetime achievement honor. Geri Bechtold is the vice president of operations for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota. The 2023 winner is Michelle Pape. She founded Next Monday, an executive coaching company aimed at women.
