(KNSI) – Senator Aric Putnam will hold a public town hall at the St. Cloud branch of the Great River Regional Library on Thursday, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The 90-minute meeting will focus on state bonding. Putnam says the process needs to be more transparent as determining which projects are selected has been done behind closed doors and he believes many constituents have questions about it. The goal of the gathering is to highlight recent bonding success stories and detail some of the area projects that are under consideration for 2024.
The meeting is open to residents living in Senate District 14, which runs from Minden Township in Benton County through the city of St. Cloud and over to St. Joseph in Stearns County. St. Augusta and Waite Park are also inside the district’s boundaries.
The library is located at 1300 W. St. Germain Street. A streetscape project has the road closed for two blocks just to the east. Possible detours include 2nd Street North and Division Street/Highway 23.
