(KNSI) — An investigation is underway after a woman’s body was found lying on the road on Sunday morning.
According to authorities in Crow Wing County, someone called 911 at about 5:40 to report what they thought may have been a body on the road off Highway 371 in Fort Ripley. Police arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Deputies, investigators, and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are looking into the matter. The woman has not been identified.
