(KNSI) – Wilson Park in northeast St. Cloud plays host to the Homegrown Festival and 5K, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The annual St. Cloud Area YMCA event has a craft fair and farmers market filled with vendors and family activities. Volunteers will man booths, help out with parking, and assist runners. One of them will win a $250 shopping spree to Scheels.
The evening sees three races. The first is the Little Sprouts 1K at 6:00, presented by El-Jay Plumbing. Then at 6:20, the starting gun sounds for the 5K and two-mile events. One racer will win a Scheels gift card as well.
The festival wraps up with a community concert by The Arcanes. The band formed in 2017 at St. Cloud State University and features an uptempo brass rock sound. A horn section and saxophones meld with guitar and drums. The band released its self-titled debut album in 2018.
