(KNSI) – Saturday is the first Stearns County Hazardous Waste mobile collection drive of the year at the Paynesville Civic Arena from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.

The special unit has 14 events scheduled for the spring and summer, which are listed below.

Monday June 20 Clear Lake City/Fire Hall 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Monday June 27 Santiago Township Hall 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday Aug 2 Sauk Centre Hockey Arena 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday Aug 16 Holdingford Holdingford School 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Wednesday Aug 16 Albany Our Savior Lutheran Church 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday Aug 23 Greenwald Greenwald Rec Building 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Wednesday Aug 23 Eden Valley Public Works 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Saturday Sept 9 Foley Benton County Public Works 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Saturday Sept 23 Kimball A.M. Maus and Sons 8:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Most things are accepted, like electronics, light bulbs, and poisons. If you have a question about an item, you can download the Stearns County Waste Wizard app to your phone or on your computer through the website.

If you can’t fit a mobile drive into your schedule, the permanent facility is located on 5th Street South in Waite Park. It accepts products year-round on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and on the second and third Saturday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
