(KNSI) – The Max J. Beilke VA Clinic in Alexandria can finally pencil in a moving date.
It will be relocating to 410 30th Avenue East next month with all veteran appointments taking place at the new address beginning May 15th. A ribbon cutting ceremony to christen the clinic is scheduled for Thursday, May 11th at 3:30 p.m. The location was initially expected to be finished in summer 2022 but a lack of building supplies caused the renovation efforts to halt.
The clinic will grow by 6,000 square feet at its new spot. It already has 34 employees and offers health care services on-site complete with specialist referrals to the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. Lab work, mental health treatment, physical therapy, and social work services are also handled at the clinic.
St. Cloud VA Health Care System Director Brent Thelen says, “We are pleased to be able to increase the size of Max J. Beilke VA Clinic in Alexandria…[it] ensures we have room to serve the increasing numbers of veterans seeking care close to home.”
The facility is open on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
