(KNSI) — The Midwest Medical Examiner’s office has ruled the death of a Waite Park woman as a homicide.

Police say 52-year-old Andrea Cottew was found dead in her home on February 6th. Police say they were called to the 300 block of Park Meadows Drive around 7:30 a.m. for a welfare check, where they found Cottew.

The medical examiner’s office didn’t release any other information about her death other than to say it was by homicide.

Originally, her death was called undetermined, and police asked for the public’s help piecing together a timeline leading up to when they were called.

Anyone who may know Cottew or who may have seen something suspicious or out of the ordinary the last few days around that area is asked to contact police at 320-251-3281 or Tri-County Crimestoppers at 1-800-255-1301.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
