St. Cloud Hosting First Downtown Bloody Mary Crawl This Spring

(KNSI) — A new event celebrating a popular cocktail will debut this spring.

The inaugural Downtown Bloody Mary Crawl & Contest will take place March 26th from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at multiple businesses and restaurants in St. Cloud.

Director of Downtown Planning & Development for the Downtown Alliance and St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Tyler Bevier says they decided to hold the event because “Sunday brunch is often accompanied by a bloody mary or two or a mimosa. So this is a way to promote Sundays [downtown]. It’s a pretty neat event that bridges both restaurants and retail here in downtown St. Cloud.”

Bevier says there’s already great interest in the event as 1,200 people have responded to the invite on Facebook, “So for being posted [for] less than a week, I’d say that’s pretty good.”

Attendees will vote for their favorites in a couple of categories which will be finalized by the end of February.

So far, five restaurants and two businesses have committed, with more to be added in the coming weeks.
