(KNSI) – Twenty-five high schools will have students attending a career exploration event next week.
The session runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28th, at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. EPIC, which stands for Exploring Potential Interests and Careers, will introduce teenagers to different industry clusters they may be interested in.
The students will learn about educational requirements and the expected demand for the career paths available in each of those clusters. The full list includes Agriculture, Arts, Business, Communications & Information Systems; Education & Training, Engineering, Food & Natural Resources; Health, Human Services; Management & Administration; Manufacturing & Technology; Science & Technology.
A survey is available beforehand which will help teenagers match up with the right career cluster based on their interests and personality.
Coming up in mid-November, adults will have a similar opportunity. EPIC for Influencers helps educate mentors and parents about how to keep teens on track for the career of their choosing.
