Scooter’s Coffee Expanding to Sartell

(KNSI) – A coffee franchise in St. Cloud will brew cups of morning joe in a second area location.

Scooter’s Coffee is expanding to Sartell after closing on a piece of land on Pine Cone Road, just south of Walgreen’s. Owner Sarah Ressemann says the store will be much like the Division Street location.

“It’ll be pretty much the same footprint that we have here [in St. Cloud]. So, it’ll be just strictly drive-thru coffee, and it’ll replicate a lot of similarities from our first store.”

Construction is expected to start next month. Reesemann hopes the store will be open in December or early in 2023. She says they started looking to expand to Sartell shortly after opening their first store.

“We always knew we were going to develop more stores. We just happened to find this great site in Sartell. Sartell was part of our development plan. So, we’re very happy.”

She says they hope to open a third store in Sartell on Riverside Drive near G. Allen’s. Ressemann and her family want to own five Scooter’s Coffee shops. They are also looking to expand to Elk River and Rogers.

Scooter’s St. Cloud location celebrated its first anniversary on Tuesday. When the coffee shop opened, it was the fourth in Minnesota. Now there are ten stores statewide.

Ressemann operates the stores with her husband and children. The family lives in St. Cloud.
