(KNSI) – The Waite Park Family Fun Fest ends the week in style with two final days of activities. Today gets started early, at 8 AM, with the city-wide garage sale. The Flowers for Waite Park group will be having their fourth annual plant sale at City Hall from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM as well.
Quarry tours run from 1:00-5:00 PM, with tickets available at the pickup site. Riders will board a bus at the south parking lot of the Waite Park Public Works Facility located on 7th Street South.
For the evening, everything moves to the Community Park. Food and beer will be on sale courtesy of several vendors. The Grand Parade begins at the library, stepping off at 6:30. The route snakes up 5th Avenue to 1st Street North. It then turns onto 13th Avenue North, finishing at the park.
Friday evening will feature a classic car show, with three different trophies handed out. There is a “People’s Choice” winner that you can help decide.
The final event on both nights involves music. Festival President Michael Bruemmer says, “Stone Road’s on Friday evening and the Honey Badgers are on Thursday evening after the parade.” Stone Road bills itself as Central Minnesota’s top variety band. The Honey Badgers are classified as a cover group.
