(KNSI) — Eight local St. Cloud State University students are among the 22 honored for outstanding leadership.
2022 Excellence in Leadership Award recipients includes Hunter Harnett and Aaron Soderholm of Sartell, Hannah Mayhew and Ashley Wenonah of Sauk Rapids, Olivia Michals of Cold Spring Corey Sakkinen of Clearwater, BreAnna Schleppenbach of Albany, and Jenna Voigt of Becker.
The students are focusing on a number of different disciplines. Hartnett is studying biomedical sciences, Soderholm is studying social studies education, Mayhew is studying economics, Wenonah is studying communications, Michals is studying psychology, Sakkinen is studying elementary education, Schleppenbach is studying operations management, and Voigt is studying master of public administration.
Winners will accept their engraved medallion and certificate at the in-person banquet on April 24th. The banquet will also be live-streamed.
Other honored students hail from three states and seven countries, including Peru, Malawi, and Nepal.
Applications were evaluated by a team of faculty and staff judges from across campus.
