(KNSI) — The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says a 59-year-old Rockford woman was killed in a crash in Monticello Township Monday morning.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, just before 6:00, a 911 call came in about a crash on County Road 37 just east of Edmonson Avenue Northeast. Investigators say Debra Mursch was driving north on Edmonson and had stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with County Road 37. They say Mursch then pulled into the intersection where she was hit by a pickup truck, driven by a 25-year-old man from Buffalo that was going east on 37.

The crash report says Mursch was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say road conditions were poor, and there was also heavy blowing snow at the time.
