(KNSI) – Sauk Rapids is looking for nominations for this year’s Citizen of the Year. The award has been handed out every year since 1986.
Nomination forms can be found at the Sauk Rapids Government Center or online. All nominations must be received by April 4th.
Nominees may be any resident of Sauk Rapids and will be judged on community volunteerism and dedication, involvement in community activities that promote a positive image of Sauk Rapids, or involvement through employment or occupation that makes them an asset to the community.
The Citizen of the year will receive a plaque along with the honor of being the grand marshal of the Rapids River Days Parade.
The nominees will be reviewed by a panel of former award winners, business leaders, and city staff. The Citizen of the Year will be awarded on April 25 at the city council meeting.
