(KNSI) – St. Germain Night Market takes over downtown St. Cloud on Saturday. St. Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Rachel Thompson talked about why the event is being held.

“The St. Germain Night Market is a new grassroots event that’s happening in lieu of the downtown winter parade. Unfortunately, this year that is not able to take place. So they have flipped it on its head and it is going to be a window parade.”

Each location will have something different to cater to your holiday spirit. Thompson says there’s a lot to do at the St. Germaine Night Market.

“Festivities include window displays you can go down and vote for your favorite business, warm beverages food and music entertainment as well as discounts in stores. Retail will have pop ups as well as other festivities, crafts, arts, things like that. It is kid friendly.”

Voting will be open from 4-8p.m. She says they hope to make it a yearly event and bring back the parade next year. The parade was canceled due to the pandemic.

Participating WINDOW locations include:

Bare Wax

Bella Vita

Endurunace Shop

Pickled Loon

Paramount Center for the Arts

Mantra Salon
