(KNSI) — One of two men accused of forcing their way into a home, pistol-whipping the woman who lived there, and stealing her purse has pleaded guilty.
According to the criminal complaint, 24-year-old Padiet Douth was charged with aiding and abetting first-degree burglary with a dangerous weapon, aiding and abetting first-degree burglary while committing an assault, and aiding and abetting third-degree assault with substantial bodily harm after he and another man, 19-year-old Jeremy Chamberlain, Junior allegedly pushed their way inside a St. Cloud home June 14th.
The woman called police saying the two men forced their way into her home, robbed her at gunpoint, threatened to shoot her and another woman who lived there, and hit both of them in the face.
The woman says Chamberlain and Douth made off with cash, credit cards, and her phone and purse.
Douth pleaded guilty on Monday to aiding and abetting first-degree burglary while committing an assault. Sentencing is set for December 29th.
Chamberlain was charged with first-degree burglary while possessing a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary while assaulting a person, and third-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm.
He is due back in court on November 8th.
