(KNSI) – Two men are under arrest after allegedly forcing their way into a home, pistol-whipping the woman who lived there, and stealing her purse.

Police were called to a home on Monday by a woman who said she answered a knock at the door, and two men pushed their way inside. The two men, identified as 19-year-old Jeremy Chamberlain and 24-year-old Paidet Douth, she said, were trying to rob her at gunpoint. She told investigators at one point; Douth told Chamberlain to shoot her. She said Chamberlain was shoving her around and hit her in the face with the butt of the gun.

Another woman in the home came downstairs in time to see Chamberlain allegedly hit the victim in the face, telling her to sit down and threatened to shoot her in the head.

The woman says Chamberlain and Douth made off with cash, credit cards, and her phone and purse.

She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where she received stitches from being hit in the mouth.

Police arrested Chamberlain Tuesday during a traffic stop. He allegedly had the woman’s debit card on him. He was charged with first-degree burglary while possessing a dangerous weapon, first-degree burglary while assaulting a person, and third-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm. He is due back in court on July 8th.

Douth was taken into custody at his apartment. He is charged with aiding and abetting and is due back in court on June 28th.
