(KNSI) — Police say a 27-year-old St. Cloud man is charged with second-degree assault after an attempted stabbing at a convenience store.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim says Faysal Ibrahim approached him as he walked into the Kwik Trip on Division Street. The victim told investigators that Ibrahim asked him for money, and he responded by telling Ibrahim to get a job. The victim says he bought his items, and as he was leaving the store, Ibrahim pulled a knife on him. The victim says he ran but tripped in the parking lot.
