(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Fire Department is investigating a fire at a hotel Thursday morning.
According to a critical incident report, firefighters were called for a mattress fire in a hotel room on 34th Avenue South just after 9:00. They say a bystander had removed burning items through a window before the fire department got there. They say bedding was still smoldering when they arrived, and they put that out and ventilated the room.
No one was hurt. Damage is estimated at around $1500.
