(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the four children that were the subject of an attempt to locate have been found.
Officials released an attempt to locate for Erika Herrington, Robert Herrington, and their children, Landon and Carter, 8, Briella, 3, and Delilah, 2, on September 4th. Thursday morning, police say, the children were found in St. Cloud. There is a domestic abuse no contact order out against Robert Herrington, barring him from contacting Erika for a previous history of domestic abuse. Police were worried because of that history; they said the environment was unsafe for the children.
St. Cloud police and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office say they have spoken with both of the parents. A press release from the sheriff’s office says the kids had been in North and South Dakota.
Officials thanked the public for help in the search and for the tips. The investigation is ongoing.
