(KNSI) – Benton County honored eight people who worked to save the life of a woman on Easter Morning.

During this week’s board of commissioner’s meeting, Dispatcher Lindsay Davis, Benton County Sheriff’s Deputy Dustin Berthiamue, Foley Fire Chief Mark Pappenfus, Foley Firefighters Rick Herbrand, Todd Foreman, and Jay Howard, Mayo Ambulance Paramedics Forest McMahan, and Jennifer Lyke received the Life-Saving Awards from the sheriff’s office.

According to the sheriff’s office, on April 4th, around 2:15 a.m., Matthew Friedrich called 911 because his wife Erin Talberg was struggling to breathe.

Davis was the first to receive the call and quickly dispatched first responders.

Mayo Medical Dispatch took over the call, and while on the line with Friedrich, Talberg stopped breathing.

Mayo Medical talked Friedrich through performing CPR on his wife.

Minutes later, Deputy Berthiamue arrived on the scene and took over CPR on Talberg.

About four minutes later, Fire Chief Pappenfus and firefighters Herbrand, Foreman, and Howard started assisting with CPR.

Shortly after the arrival of firefighters, Mayo Ambulance Paramedics Peterson and Lyke arrived and started additional life-saving efforts.

Talberg regained a pulse and was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital and was treated.

Talberg returned home on April 5th.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office says they’re grateful for the efforts of all involved in saving Talberg’s life.
