(KNSI) – A St. Cloud woman charged in connection to a murder in St. Cloud is accused of exposing her toddler to drugs.

Thirty-Three-year-old Angela Renee Jones has been charged with felony drug exposure to a child and two gross misdemeanor counts of child endangerment.

According to a criminal complaint, police were called on June 8 to a home on 8th Avenue North after a 15-month-old child fell, was unresponsive, and having trouble breathing.

The child was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where its urine was screened and came back positive for meth and opioids.

Stearns County Department of Human Services opened a child protection investigation.

Police executed a search warrant and allegedly seized a bag containing suspected meth in a backpack connected to Jones.

Jones was charged earlier this month with aiding and abetting murder in the second degree and aiding and abetting kidnapping in connection with the death of a Litchfield woman found along Cooper Avenue in south St. Cloud.
