(KNSI) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the remains of a man who has been missing for almost three years have been recovered.
Authorities were called on June 7th to a heavily wooded area in Blind Lake Township after a survey crew made the grim discovery. The remains were sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office, where they were identified as David Rickbeil of Ham Lake.
Rickbeil was reported missing on July 13th, 2018. Officials found his vehicle abandoned and running in a rural area near Remer, but the 60-year-old Rickbeil was gone. Ground and air searches turned up nothing.
Foul play is not suspected.
