(KNSI) – Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity has a new executive director.
The nonprofit’s board of directors recently chose Chad Johnson to lead the Habitat for Humanity affiliate. His duties start on June 28th.
The organization says Johnson worked at Catholic Charities of St. Cloud before being selected for the executive job. Prior to that role, Johnson also worked with the CAER Food Shelf in Elk River, the Salvation Army and the YMCA.
Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity’s last executive director, Rick Nelson, left in February after about three years with the nonprofit. Mike Mullen filled in as interim executive director while the board looked for a new hire.
“We are very excited to welcome Chad,” Hailey Hollenhorst, chair of the board of directors, said. “He has deep local roots, enthusiasm, extensive experience with fundraising, and a genuine passion for the Habitat mission.”
