(KNSI) – Stearns County residents saw a giant leap in people getting vaccinated in the last week.
According to Stearns County, COVID-19 vaccinations jumped nearly 12%.
Officials say 38% of people have gotten at least one dose. That’s about 47,200 people out of a population of around 125,800 residents.
In Stearns County, 33,100 people are fully vaccinated.
Both Benton and Sherburne County have 26% of their populations vaccinated with at least one dose. Morrison County has vaccinated 35% of people with one dose and 33% in Wright County.
The significant increase comes simultaneously as the state opens up eligibility to anyone age 16 and older and received an increased allotment of vaccine from the federal government.
