(KNS) — St. Cloud area Representative Dan Wolgamott is hosting a virtual listening session next week regarding the state budget.
A press release says that Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan will join Wolgamott to hear from residents about the new state budget proposal. The DFL released its proposal Monday calling for higher taxes on wealthy residents and large companies.
The session is set for April 13th at 6:00 p.m. The event will be broadcast via Zoom and Wolgamott’s Facebook page.
In the release, Wolgamott says, “This will be the most crucial budget of our generation as it will impact Minnesota’s ability to overcome the historic challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ve invited Lt. Governor Flanagan to join me in listening to your budget priorities so we can take them back to the Capitol and fight for a budget that fulfills the needs of the people of St. Cloud.”
