(KNSI) – A Melrose man was killed in a rollover crash in South Dakota on Friday.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Aaron Kroshus was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway patrol stated their preliminary investigation shows the 33-year-old was driving a fertilizer truck about seven miles north of Goodwin when he failed to negotiate a curve.

The truck left the roadway and rolled. Kroshus was wearing his seatbelt.

The crash is under investigation.

A funeral notice stated Kroshus died from injuries suffered in a work-related vehicle accident.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose.
