(KNSI) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has issued a red flag warning for Friday, April 2nd for several counties, including Benton, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright.
A Red Flag Warning means the area is experiencing critical weather conditions that are ideal for wildfire, including strong winds and low humidity. The DNR says do not burn while the red flag warning is in effect, and they’re asking people to check any burning that has been done recently to make sure the fire is completely out.
The red flag warning is in effect until 8:00 Friday night.
