(KNSI) – A Sauk Rapids man has received a stayed sentence of four years after pleading guilty to aiding an offender during a 2019 shooting in St. Cloud.

Twenty-eight-year-old JB Zimmer pleaded guilty to one count of aiding an offender. In December 2019, police arrested Zimmer and 27-year-old pooG DaBleed DevilDrugChristLord after a 42-year-old woman was found seriously injured with multiple gunshot wounds. She was a passenger in a van driven by Zimmer, police say.

The woman told police DevilDrugChristLord shot her in the arm while inside the vehicle, and Zimmer tried to speed away but crashed into another vehicle near University Drive and 15th Avenue South. The victim was shot at again after she was able to get out of the van.

DevilDrugChristLord pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder and will serve 10 years in prison.

Zimmer will not have to serve his prison sentence unless he breaks his supervised probation, which will last up to five years.
