(KNSI) – A Minneapolis man who pleaded guilty in connection to a December 2019 shooting in St. Cloud is headed to prison.

27-year-old pooG DaBleed DevilDrugChristLord was sentenced to ten years in prison for that shooting, which left a 42-year-old woman seriously injured.

DevilDrugChristLord, whose given name is Jerome Demond Jones, pleaded guilty last fall to second degree attempted murder.

The woman said she was riding in a minivan with DevilDrugChristLord and another man, JB Daniel Zimmer, when DevilDrugChristLord shot her in the arm. She says Zimmer was driving the van and tried to speed away but hit another vehicle near University Drive and 15th Avenue South. Police say the woman got out of the van and tried to run away when she was shot again.

She was found bloodied and having trouble breathing and was taken to the hospital. Her injuries, though severe, were not life-threatening, and the woman did survive.

Zimmer was charged with one count of aiding and abetting. He is scheduled to be sentenced on March 19th.
