(KNSI) – Starting Monday, grant applications for projects that address racial equity are being accepted by the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.

The goal for these grants, the foundation says, is to support projects that will positively affect racial equity in Central Minnesota, especially when it comes to education, job readiness and promoting social capital among diverse populations.

“We are once again pleased to offer the Central Minnesota Difference Maker grant,” CMCF executive director Caryl Turnow said. “Just like its title, the focus of this grant round is to make a difference within our communities. We do this by building social capital across generations, cultures, and other diverse segments of the community.”

The deadline to apply is May 1st.
