(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 996 new COVID-19 cases and seven deaths statewide Thursday. Of those new cases, the St. Cloud area sees 49.
Benton County adds five new cases, Morrison County six, Sherburne County eight, Stearns County 12 and Wright County 28.
Across the five-county area, 344 people have active cases of COVID-19.
The state processed 42,749 COVID-19 tests on Wednesday, making Thursday’s test positivity rate 2.3 percent.
Right now, there are 215 people in Minnesota’s hospitals who are being treated for COVID-19. Of that number, 50 are in the ICU.
As of Monday, more than 770,000 Minnesotans have gotten at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, representing 13.8 percent of the state’s population.
