(KNSI) – The Minnesota State Patrol is releasing the name of the man killed in a head-on crash on Highway 15 Wednesday night.
Crash investigators say 48-year-old Anthony Heitz of Kingson was going south on 15 near County Road 8 in Maine Prairie Township as a Nissan Maxima, driven by 35-year-old Jesse Lee Johnson of St. Cloud, was going north. The two crashed head-on, killing Heitz.
Johnson was taken to North Memorial in Robbinsdale with life-threatening injuries.
The road was covered with ice and snow at the time, and alcohol was not a factor.
