(KNSI) – One person is dead and another seriously injured after a crash on Highway 15 Wednesday night.
The Minnesota State Patrol says just after 8:30, a Nissan Maxima driven by a 48-year-old man from Kingston was heading south on 15, just north of County Road 8 in Maine Prairie Township. A Ford Explorer, driven by Jesse Lee Johnson of St. Cloud, was going north, and the two crashed head on.
Crash investigators say the road was covered with snow and ice at the time.
Johnson was taken to North Memorial in Robbinsdale for life-threatening injuries. More information about the other driver, including his name, will be released later today.
