(KNSI) – National Cinema Day is looking to have a successful sequel this Sunday.

Moviegoers will be flocking to the theater to take advantage of great deals for a seat and at the concession stand. The Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park is offering $4 admission to any movie, including new releases, on any screen, even the jumbo-sized Super Screen DLX.

There’s no need to go into the film hungry, either. Regular-sized fountain drinks and hot dogs are $3 for one day only. Belly up to the bar and take advantage of a $3 deal for Samuel Adams seasonal beers if that’s your beverage of choice.

More than eight million people went to the movies on the first National Cinema Day last year, which was held in early September. Four-dollar admissions represent a price not seen since the 1990s, and the retro flavor of the event will bleed over into what is showing.

In addition to mega hits of today like Barbie and Oppenheimer, the Parkwood will feature classics like American Graffiti, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Jurassic Park.
