(KNSI) – The first Sweetheart Swing Dance is Saturday, aiming to turn the Whitney Senior Center into a scene from The Great Gatsby.

It’s being put on by the Stearns History Museum, so expect Big Band-era music and lots of vintage clothing. The dance runs from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., with lessons beginning at 6:30. The musical entertainment will be provided by the Rock City Jazz Band.

Tickets are just 10 dollars and can be purchased here. It’s not quite the champagne fountains seen in a F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, but local beer and treats will be served in addition to the fun on the floor.
