(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Disc Golf Club donates $3,000 to install 18 Mach 7 brand baskets on the course at Mississippi River County Park.

Twelve volunteers were able to install the disc golf baskets in about 18 hours. Elevated baskets are used instead of carved-out cups in disc golf to complete a hole. It is one of several improvements to the course the club has been involved with. In 2021, the club put in new tee pads, made possible by a concrete donation from Cemstone. Each hole has a set of short tees and long tees.

The course was first opened in 2004. Hole One begins near the picnic table area. It plays between 4,498 and 5,804 feet, depending on which tee area you use. The 54-par championship course is over a mile long.
