Back for a fourth season at KNSI with your weekly amateur baseball (Town Team) baseball reports. Including not only game summaries, but upcoming schedules, league standings. Tournament summaries and an occasional special interest feature. The plan is to continue to include: Lakewood League, Central Valley League, Sauk Valley League, Victory League South and Stearns County teams throughout their league playoffs, regional and state tourney games. SPRING HILL CHARGERS 11 FARMING FLAMES 3 (5/19 @ Farming)

The Chargers out hit the Flames just 13-10, but they made the most of their scoring opportunities. The Chargers Jordan Welle started on the mound, he threw 7 innings to earn the win. He gave up 5 hits, 2 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Brent Terres threw two innings in relief, to close it out, he gave up 5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk and he recorded a strikeout. Eric Terres had a good game, he went 2-4 with a walk, 2 stolen bases and he scored a pair of runs. Austin Schoenberg went 3-4 with a RBI, one walk, two stolen bases and he scored a pair of runs. Shawn Schoenberg went 2-5 with a RBI, a pair of stolen bases, one walk and he scored a pair of runs. Nathan Terres went 1-2 with a double and a sacrifice fly for 2 RBI's, he walked twice and scored 3 runs. Tyler Revermann went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he earned a walk and Brent Terres went 1-4 with a pair of RBI's and he earned a walk. Jamie Terres went 1-5 with a RBI, one stolen base and he scored a run. Jordan Orbeck went 1-1 and Eric Schoenberg walked and he scored a run.

The Flames Brad Mergen, started on the mound, he threw 5 1/3 innings, he gave up 9 hits, 7 runs, 4 walks and he recorded 9 strikeouts. Kyle Zierden threw 3 2/3 innings in relief, he gave up 4 hits, 4 runs, one walk and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Aaron Eyck went 2-3 with a double and he scored a run and Kyle Zierden went 2-2. Joe Klein went 3-3 and Taylor Fourre went 1-4 with a RBI. Mitchell Thelen went 1-4 and he scored a run and Eric Schmitt went 1-1 with a double and he scored a run. Dylan Panek had a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Hunter Mergen earned a walk.

RICHMOND ROYALS 9 ROSCOE RANGERS 7 (5/14 @ Richmond)

The Royals defeated their Stearns County rivals the Rangers, backed by some timely hitting and good defense. Alex Budde started the pitching duties, he threw 4 innings, gave up 3 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks and he recorded 5 strikeouts. D. J. Schleicher threw 4 innings in relief to earn the win, he gave up 5 hits, 3 runs, 2 walks and he recorded a strikeout. Andy Bauer threw the 9th inning to earn the save, he gave up 3 hits and one run. The Royals had two players with multi hit games, Kyle Budde had a good game. Kyle went 2-4 with a double for 3 big RBI's and he earned a walk. Scott Ruegemer went 3-4 with a RBI and he scored 3 runs. Dan Hanson went 1-2 with a double for a RBI, he walked and he scored a run and Alex Budde went 1-3 with 2 big RBI's and he scored a run. Cole Schmitz went 1-3 with a solo home run, he walked and he scored a pair of runs. Cory Niewind went 1-2, he earned a walk and he scored a run.

The Rangers actually out hit the Royals, as they collected 11 hits including three base hits. Jordan Schleper went 2-4 with a pair of solo home runs and Brent Burg went 1-4 with a solo home run and Trent Gertken went 1-3 with a pair of RBI's, he earned a pair of walks and he scored a pair of runs. Brandon Schleper went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored a run and Jordan Roos went 1-2 with a RBI, he walked twice and he scored a run. Russell Leyendecker went 2-5, Nathan Stang went 1-4 and Nick Dingman went 1-3 with a walk. Jordan Schleper started on the mound for the Rangers, he threw 2 innings, he gave up 1 hit, 1 run and a pair of walks. Josh Mackendanz threw 6 innings of relief, he gave up 4 hits, 8 runs, 4 walks and he recorded 5 strikeouts, Josh was the pitcher of record.

SOBIESKI SKIS 3 AVON LAKERS 0 (5/21 @ Sobieski)

The Skis got an awesome pitching performance by Tyler Jendro. He threw a complete game he gave up just 3 hits, walked two and he recorded 10 strikeouts. Scott Litchy went 2-3 with a huge 2 run home run in the first inning and Dan Marod was credited with a RBI by way of a fielders choice in the 3rd inning. Jake Kapphahn went 1-2 with a double and he walked and Riley Hirsch went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt. Austin Weisz went 1-3 and Beau Hanowski earned a walk and he scored a run.

For the Lakers, Putter Harlander started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Will Kleinschmit threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 1 hit, 2 walks and he recorded a strikeout. Riley Voit went 1-4 with a double and Josh Becker went 1-3 with a double to lead the Lakers. Will Kleinschmidt went 1-2 and Cody Stich had a sacrifice bunt.

EXHIBITION GAMES

COLD SPRING SPRINGERS 21 MINNEAPOLIS ANGELS 3 (7 Innings) (5/19 @ Cold Spring)

The Springers pounded the ball all over the park for a total of 28 hits, with seven players having multi hit games. This was great support for the Springer pitchers, Justin Thompson started on the mound, he threw 2 innings, he gave up 3 hits and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Zach Femrite threw 3 innings in relief, to earn the win, he gave up just one hit and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Tanner Aleshire threw one inning of relief, he recorded one strikeout. Jack Arnold closed it out with one inning of relief, he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks and 3 runs.

The Springers Eric Loxtercamp had a great game in centerfield and at the plate, he went 3-3 with a RBI and he scored 3 runs. Brad Olson the Springers first baseman went 2-4 with a double for 2 RBI's and he scored a run. Brian Hansen covered a lot of ground in right field, he went 3-3 with a triple for 2 RBI's and he scored 3 runs. Joe Dempsey went 1-2 with a double and a sacrifice fly for 3 RBI's and he scored a run. Alex Jungels went 2-5 and he scored a run and Zach Femrite went 2-3 and he scored a run. Jeron Terres had a very good game, making several nice plays at third base. He went 4-5 at the plate, he had double for 3 RBI's and he scored 3 runs. Garrett Fuchs looked like he was in mid-season form, he went 3-5 with a 3 RBI's and he scored a run and Zach Hinkemeyer the Springers shortstop went 3-4 with a double, he had 3 RBI's and he scored a pair of runs. Justin Thompson, started pitching and then went in to catch for the Springers, he went 1-4 with a double for a RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a pair of runs. Jack Arnold played first base and he pitched a inning, he went 1-2 with a RBI, Mathias Butala went 1-1 and Tanner Aleshire earned a walk and he scored a run.

The Angels pitcher of record was Alex Beers. Kipp Youngquist went 2-4 with a double and Mike McCallion went 2-4 and he score a run. Brady Johnson went 1-3 with a RBI, he walked and he scored a run an, Mike Nellessen went 1-4 with a RBI and Tyler Johnson went 1-4.

BEAUDREAU SAINTS 8 CHAMPLIN LOGATORS 7 (5/19 @ Faber)

The Beaudreaus Saints found them selves down early in the game to the Lagators, but they did come back to defeat their foe from the Minny Metro League. Brindley Theisen started on the mound for the Saints, he threw 4 2/3 innings, gave up 6 hits, 7 runs, 2 walks and he recored 2 strikeouts. Tommy Auger threw 4 1/3 innings in relief to earn the win, he scattered 4 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Jason Kotschevar had a good night at the plate, he went 2-4 with 4 big RBI's. Jack Schramel went 2-4 with a RBI and he earned a walk and Chad Hackemeyer went 1-5 with a RBI. Tommy Auger went 1-4 with a walk, one stolen base and he scored a pair of runs. Nick Maiers earned three walks and he scored three runs and Tom Imholte earned a pair of walks and he scored a pair of runs. Brindley Theisen earned a walk, one stolen base and he scored a run, Nick Henkel earned a walk and Tom Spaniol earned a walk.

The Logators starting pitcher was Dan Mathews, he threw 5 innings, he was the pitcher of record. He gave up 3 hits, 5 runs, 6 walks and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Jeff Heuer threw 3 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits, 3 runs and he issued 3 walks. Ryan Bruns went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored a run and Kyle McDermott went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored a run. Zach Heckert went 2-3 with a RBI and he walked twice and he scored a run, Nick Menoen went 1-2 with 2 RBI's, 2 walks and he scored a run and Alex Nienaber went 1-4 with a RBI and he scored a run.



DASSEL COKATO SAINTS 7 PEARL LAKE LAKER 0 (5/19 @ Dassel)
The Lakers dropped an exhibition game to the Saints of the North Star league. Chad Kunkel started on the mound for the Lakers, he threw 4 innings. He gave up 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 walks and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Cole Denn threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits, one walk and he recorded two strikeouts. Andy Linn threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 4 hits, 4 runs, 2 walks and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Justin Kunkel went 2-3 and Tommy Linn went 1-3 and he earned a walk. Chad Kunkel went 1-3, Isaak Blitvich went 1-3 and Cole Denn earned a pair of walks.

The Saints starting pitcher, Jordan Flick, threw 7 innings to earn the win. He gave up 4 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Tyler Brandel threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up a hit, one walk and he recorded one strikeout. Brendon Opsahl went 1-4 with a 2 run home run, he walked and scored a pair of runs. Jordan Flick went 1-4 with a RBI and he scored a run and Mitch Kurtzweg went 1-4 and he scored a run. Andy Haataja went 2-4 and Andrew Carlson went 2-2 with a walk and he scored a run. Trent Thinesen went 1-3 with a RBI, he walked and he scored a run.
