Tigers fall to Lumberjacks

(KNSI) - The Tech Tigers fell to the Bemidji Lumberjacks 53-34 on Friday.
The game was a shoot out, but Tech shot themselves in the foot with turnovers which ultimately was what cost them the game.
In the first quarter after Bemidji scored, their running back Will Falldorf went down with an injury and needed to be carted off the field.
The Lumberjacks scored 2 more touchdowns to end the first quarter with a 19-0 lead.
In the second half, Troy Feddema gets the Tigers on the board.
Both teams exchanged touchdowns again after, and the Lumberjacks took a 36-14 lead into halftime.
The Lumberjacks came out firing after halftime with a touchdown right away.
Tech responded with one of their own, but then the Lumberjacks scored 2 more before the quarter ended.
Bemidji took a 46-20 lead going in to the 4th quarter.
The Tigers kept it interesting in the 4th by following up a touchdown with an onside kick recovery, and then scoring another touchdown.
They cut the score down to 12 with 8 minutes to go.
The Tigers could not recover the onside kick again after however, and that was the nail in the coffin.
The Lumberjacks won with a final score of 53-34.
Troy Feddema was selected as the all star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game. He scored 2 touchdowns.
