Tech Undefeated In Regular Season

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The St. Cloud Tech Tigers capped off a perfect regular season with a 4-2 win over St. Cloud Apollo on Thursday night.
With the win, the Tigers finish the regular season with a undefeated record at 20-0 and are this year's Central Lakes Conference champions.
After a scoreless 1st and 2nd inning, Tech's Max Unze hit an RBI single off of Apollo starting pitcher Isaac Haulthaus to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Unze later scored on a Chris Backes RBI sac fly and the Tigers led 2-0.
In the 4th inning, Ethan Hopper scored on a wild pitch and put the Tigers up 3-0.
The Apollo Eagles got on the board in the bottom of the 4th inning. Peter Nelson hit an RBI triple off of Tigers starter Drew Bulson. He later scored on a Isaac Holthaus RBI single which cut Tech's lead to 3-2.
Drew Bulson pitched 4 innings for the Tigers and gave up 2 runs. For his efforts, he was named the All-Star Trophy and Awards player of the Game.
Tech took a 4-2 in the 5th inning on Logan Aleshire's RBI single.
Tigers relief pitcher Austin Nikolas pitched a scoreless 5th, 6th and 7th inning and the Tigers came away with a 4-2 win.
