(KNSI) - The St. Cloud Icebreakers girls hockey squad defeated River Lakes 3-0 on Tuesday.

The game, which took place at the MAC, was off to a slow start until Allie Cornelius scored a goal midway through the first period.

The Icebreakers took that lead into the first intermission.

In the second period, Brooke Arvidson added a goal early to make it 2-0.

Less than a minute later, Allie Cornelius scored her second goal to put the Icebreakers up 3-0.

The third period was very defensive, and scoreless.

The final score of the game was Icebreakers 3, River Lakes 0.

The Icebreakers won the shots on goal contest 36-20.

Allie Cornelius was selected as the All Star Trophy and Awards player of the game with 2 goals.

Highlight: Allie Cornelius with her second goal of the night, putting the Icebreakers up 3-0 in the second period.
