Cathedral dominant over Alexandria in the 6A Final

(KNSI) - After finally getting all their players back, Cathedral dominated Alexandria in the Section-6A Championship Thursday night.
The Crusaders came out guns blazing as Jack Smith scored early and often.
Smith scored two early goals and Mack Motzko scored his first goal of the postseason to give the Crusaders a three-goal lead heading into the second period.
In period two, Cathedral didn't slow down.
Jack Smith scored his fourth goal of the night and Nate Warner got in on the action with his fourth goal of the postseason.
Mack Motzko scored his second goal on the night and third of the postseason to make it 7-0 after two periods of play.
In period three, Marcus Hjort scored for Cathedral to make it 8-0.
Moments later, Alexandria's Joe Westland finally got his team on the board to cut the Cathedral lead to 8-1.
The third period went quickly as the Cathedral Crusaders will head back to defend their Class-A State Title on Wednesday, March 4th; that came can be heard on the KNSI Sports Network.
Cathedral's Jack Smith (Pictured #20 Below) was named as the All-Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game with four goals.
