(KNSI) The Apollo Eagles defeated the Tech Tigers 70-59 on Tuesday night.
It was the same story for the Tech Tigers as they started the game very strong with turnovers and big shots made.
The Tigers led by 7 at halftime, 39-32.
Coming out of halftime however, the Tigers defense started to fail and the Eagles started knocking down big 3’s.
Tech got into foul trouble early in the half, which helped Apollo get further ahead.
With 2 minutes left to play is when the Eagles reached a double digit lead.
The Eagles made their free throws at the end of game and were able to close it out.
The Apollo Eagles will host Sauk Rapids-Rice on Friday night at 7pm, and you can hear that game on KNSI.
Apollo’s Puoch Doboul was selected as the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game with 18 points and 15 rebounds.
