(KNSI) - Volleyball teams cannot play as well as Sartell this season if all their working parts are not playing at their highest of levels.
Each and every week, the Sartell Sabres Volleyball Team has a player that does something extraordinary and last week Morgan Vosberg was that player.
On October 3rd, Vosberg recorded her 2,000th set-assist during the Sabres' three-set victory over Brainerd.
Vosberg currently has a serving percentage of 93.2 and has added 32 ace-serves this season.
Although the junior's 647 set-assists in 2019 is impressive, head coach Sarah Hornseth is most impressed by Vosberg's dependability.
"Volleyball is the epitome of a team sport; you rely on the people around you. Morgan does a great job of being one of those players we can rely on."
With section playoffs just around the corner, Sartell is seemingly playing their best volleyball at the right time and that is due to players like Vosberg and her reliability.
Sartell can beat teams many different ways but Hornseth believes Sartell's offense should involve Vosberg on every attack.
"Morgan is an integral part of our team; if all goes as planned with our passing, each offensive play should go through Morgan. She is developing into a good on-court leader who is able to take on the huge responsibility of being a setter."
The Sartell Sabres sit atop the Central Lakes Conference with a record of 9-0 and they have a record of 17-1 on the season.
Vosberg and the Sabres will play CLC's second-place team, Alexandria tonight, October 8th at 7:00 p.m., in Alexandria.
Congratulations, Morgan and good luck to you and the Sartell Sabres Volleyball Team the rest of the season and beyond!
