(KNSI) - Some may feel it would be tough to find star players on a team that only has four wins on the season but that is definitely not the case for the Sauk Rapids-Rice Boys Basketball Team.

The Storm have many players that at any given moment can take over a game but lately, Joshua Schloe has been other-worldly.

On Tuesday, January 14th, the Storm travelled to Cold Spring to battle Rocori on the back of a nine-game losing streak.

Schloe not only helped the Storm break their losing streak, he led all scorers with 25 points after heating-up from three-point-land.

Through 14 games, Schloe has averaged 17.4 points per game and nearly eight rebounds, all while shooting nearly 53-percent from the floor.

Head coach Derek Peterson has loved what he has witnessed on the floor from Schloe this season.

"Josh has been special for us this year. He is leading our team in both scoring and rebounding. He continues to get better throughout the season and has been our most consistent player. We count on him for a lot. I couldn’t be more happy for Josh and the success he is having so far."

Peterson and the Storm most assuredly hope to see more of the same from Schloe when they host St. Cloud Tech Thursday, January 23rd at 7:15 p.m.

That game can be heard as a boys/girls double-header on the KNSI Sports Network; the girls' pregame starts at 5:45 p.m. and the boys' game follows immediately.

Congratulations, Joshua and good luck to you and the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm Boys Basketball Team the rest of the season and beyond!
