All-Star Trophy Player Of The Week; Elizabeth Dille

(KNSI) - One could imagine many players from a one-loss team would be worthy for this week's award.
Factor in that the team has not lost even one set since losing their first match, you get a team playing at a very high level heading into Section 8-3A Playoffs.
The Sartell Sabres currently boast one of the best records in the state and they are the number-one seed in Section 8-3A due in large part to the play of Elizabeth Dille.
In the matches KNSI has covered the Sabres, Dille has been among the leaders in kills and digs and can really take over any match Sartell plays.
Although the stats speak for themselves, head coach Sarah Hornseth believes Dille means much more to the team than what can be found on a stat sheet.
"She takes her game very seriously but [Elizabeth's] still able to make it fun and not make it a job and she's can still be a great leader for our team and that's what we appreciate about her."
The junior's 50 digs last week garnered her the CLC Performer of the Week Award for defense in volleyball.
Having players that get along so well has been a recipe for success for the Sabres as their record is 24-1 on the season.
Since Sartell's one loss to Hutchinson on October 1st, they have won eight-straight matches while winning 20 sets in-a-row.
The Sabres will now host local rival Sauk Rapids-Rice Friday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Section 8-3A Quarter-Finals.
Congratulations, Elizabeth and good luck to you and the Sartell Sabres Vollyball Team the rest of the season and beyond!
