(KNSI) – The Alexandria Cardinals defeated St. Cloud Area 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday night.
An error by the St. Cloud goalie led to the game winning goal by Josiah Gronholz.
Matthew Carlson scored twice for the Cardinals and was named the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.
Max Rud, Tanner Simonson and Luke Johnson scored for St. Cloud area.
With the loss, St. Cloud Area falls to 1-3-1. Their next game is on Friday against Sartell.
