(KNSI) - A child and adolescent behavioral health service center in St. Cloud is inviting the public to help celebrate an anniversary.
CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital's Clara's House has been helping with kids and teens with mental health and chemical-dependent issues for 15 years.
In honor of the milestone, Clara's House is holding an open house on Monday, September 23rd, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Clara's House is a donor-funded healing, nurturing, safe environment for kids age five to 18 to get mental health and outpatient substance use disorder treatment.
People will be able to learn about the impact the facility has on the community.
The event will include tours of the treatment center, cookies, lemonade, and more.
Clara's House opened in October of 2004 and was the first St. Cloud Hospital facility ultimately paid for by community donations.
The facility serves around 500 youth a year.
Clara's House is named after benefactor Mae Ellingson-Skalicky's mother "Clara" spent her life loving and caring for children.
The building is at 1564 County Road 134 in St. Cloud.
