(KNSI) - The United Way of Central Minnesota has started a COVID-19 Relief Fund and has donated $25,000.
The United Way contributed $25,000 to assist with predominant issues identified by community partners and 2-1-1 requests for assistance.
One of the most critical needs has been childcare for those providing essential medical and emergency services, and for those impacted by the mandatory closures.
Food requests are also increasing, and the United Way believes this will require a substantial investment.
