Stearns County Adds Another 49 COVID-19 Cases and One New Death

(KNSI) - Stearns County saw another bump in COVID-19 cases Wednesday and added another death to the total.
According to numbers released from the Minnesota Departments of Health, there were 49 additional COVID-19 cases diagnosed Wednesday for a total of 1,831 cases. One person has also died due to COVID-19 related complications. That person was between the ages of 40 and 49.
Benton County also saw an increase of seven cases for a total of 148. Morrison County also saw two new cases for a total of 31. Sherburne County added another 14 cases for a total of 178. Wright County added another 15 cases for a total of 198.
The state says there were 5,503 tests conducted statewide with a total of 17,670 positive tests, which is an increase of 645 from Tuesday. That number includes 2,025 healthcare workers who have been diagnosed.
There have been 2,308 total COVID related hospitalizations, with 550 people still in the hospital, which is only five more than Tuesday. There are also 212 people in the ICU, which is a drop of 17.
The state says there are now 12,227 patients who are out of isolation, which is 687 more than Tuesday.
